Once your van is done, it will still be cheaper and MUCH MORE classy than any new van. Keep the pics coming too.

Well, with all my spare time...... Finally getting around to further steps. So chassis is out from under the shell and the vinyl and floor ply removed. Many of the rivets holding the floor panel down turned to powder at the touch of the drill. Next step is a new drawbar with a little extra length and attachments.
Interestingly the rear axle seems to have a small bend in it, although not physically visible. It is almost like the stubs on the end have been welded incorrectly. Go figure. Tyres are warn on the outer edge, and have a lean on them similar to the rear wheels of a VW. Never noticed it before.
Trying to upload photos but having trouble. Will read instructions again.

Been nice and busy albinochimp ? ... Been wondering what you've been up to with ya Big Franklin. Saw 1 like yours earlier this week all loaded up and towing with a VE comm sedan. Noticed they had a huge RollOut Awning on the side of it........Hmmm that's got me thinking !!!

Bloody photo bucket upgrade. Yeah, I have been doing a bit myarrow1, but has been slow, a couple of hours here, a couple there. Getting there. I have been looking around at some other vans for spares, and to possibly use while ours is getting the makeover. Unfortunately layouts of many I have looked at haven't been to the wife's liking. I think she thinks she might be in it for a while. And regarding the awning, the boss is heavily suggesting that I include this in the reno, but I like our annex. It is as long as the van, and is 8 ft wide so nice and roomy, and has a verandah out the front to boot!! So there may be some discussion around the annex/awning....

Wow ! Now that's what I call a renno !! With regards to the awning, decision making/ arguing.. Same same..lol. Keeps the photos coming. The twin axle Franklin I saw the other day looked awesome rolling down the road. I seem to be able to spot a Franklin a mile away in traffic !
