Hi new to this I have acquired a viscount royal according to stickers on out side of van elect permit dated 1972 am thinking of doing a slow resto. first job was to re install two windows frames were there but under where previous owner had just boarded up window opening he had removed the top piece that forms hinge and water deflector the glass holding section are complete and usable . what i need is to locate where one can get the aluminum extrusion that attaches to the van body that forms the top part of window hinge

Hi Mark, Your thread will most likely be moved to Hall of Fame where you can start your reno journey. To help you with your first promblem it will help to post some images of the problem you are dealing with? There are lots of knowlegable renovators here to help, good luck with the project.

there is a good chance you can buy a new window as that size was very common. Caravans plus might be able to help. or Camec also still make these windows. Nice van by the way and best of luck with the restoration. regards Paul
