The main thing about a forum and why here and VV are important/ fun to use, is focus! So all the chat is about the subject & not diluted with angry birds, popular culture and *baby pics. Forums are still the best way to meet up/ discuss interests among like minded folks. FB is an awesome family catch up and birthday reminder tool. In current form however FB is very bad for archiving or catching up on past posts as the new refresh, friends settings, advertising and sponsored content has made it very much a 24-48hr cycle. *just as importantly one is not sharing family stuff, with many unknowns face to face, on the net.

Well the Facebook page is starting to work we have had a couple of people find our little slice of heaven, we have had over 100 people read some of the topic's on the page and late today we hit 50 likes. So each week I will link a topic from in the forum to the Facebook page for the public to read and hope they come over and join up.
Cheers

gidday drylander
The Classic Caravan forum will continue the way it is, Facebook is just another way to wave the Flag, no fear of it taking over.

Hiya drylander, in the constant changing world of interwebs it is prudent to cover as many areas as possible to raise awareness, especially when they are free atm! I can see someone starting twitter/ instagram and even a Google+, so the nowadays many folks, who have never used a forum (being halfway thru 2015 now!!)can discover and hopefully contribute to this great forum site.

I had a quick look at FB - I liked my van being there. BUT.....
I do think that FB savvy people will post on FB rather then on this site.

I think the answers to requested advice, from savvy FB folks, will discover that this forum has the answers they are looking for, or would be guided as such on FB by it`s creator/moderator
