Big job ahead of you Bob. I admire your "courage" I tend to agree with your wife re chasing spares. The 2 wine glasses is a very good addition to any project. Keep up the good work and good luck. Mick.

Hi Mick You have been quiet for awhile. I take it all is now well or as good as can be. The only problem with the wine glasses is she insists on filling em, which is ok until she gets closer to the end of the first bottle. ;D She talks more and more and more and more then goes for the 2nd bottle.................... then we are all in trouble... . . . .......woopee I now have timber woopee.......

aaaah the joys of being a devoted caravaner. Finally got the modern thing home from its summer parking spot at Blairgowrie... spent an entire weekend emptying out some of the contents and attempting to put away the bits I will not use during the year. annex ......... check, drink fridge ......... check, kids camp beds .......... check, unbelievable number of extra chairs in case of visitors ..... check ants, ants, ants, ants. be warned when camping on the foreshore on the mornington peninsular you will pick up additional guests, ants.....................now it will take the rest of the year to get rid of the little blighters..... 2 weekends at home gave me a chance to buy timber... yippee Then along came easter.......... guess what we did..... so in between away for caravan related things I get to spend a little time in evenings in "The Shed" New sides are cut out and now I am starting to cut out the frame and the furniture. I am yet to work out in what order it will all be assembled ;D ;D now all I need is more time............................

After I eat me vidals I sit behind the puter an log into see what antics you have been up to... Then I think ...doh ... forgot to take some photos... Hello there fellow enthusiastic caravan nuts.... (well I think I am one) Yep progress is a happening. At a much slower pace than our friend atog. So far I have cut and partially assembled the frame and furniture for the "starboard" side. I have now started on the other side of the "thingie me bob" SWMBO does comes outside occasionally to inspect the progress and makes statements like "Did ya cut it short again" "Why ya doing it like that" "I want room for a washing machine" "Can we tow this behind the A7" "Is it finished yet" "You wanna buy more wot??" The plan at this point in time is to manufacture as much as I can without completing the assembly. I am using the old as the template. once I have all the necessary bits cut and where I can, assembled I will dismantle the old, renovate the chassis. Why would I do it like that you say.... I am a little pressed for space inside the shed... So I can not assemble it all until I have made some more room..... I opened the garage door so you can take a look at the amount of internal space I have.

aaaaah Monday!!! I sat back in the family room sipping on a coffee, planning my day while SWMBO mumbled things about taking retirement...b*&^ work.. Why do I do it... She shouted out orders to me about house cleaning, clothes washing, dog do pickups, food shopping and other mundane domestic chores that are clearly womans work.... After awhile she walked out the front door still mumbling detrimental things about where she was off too. I waited for her to drive out the gate and watched to make sure she turned out of our street.... I counted to ten then raced out to my car hooked up the trailer and off to the timber man I went... Wood loverly wood..... I loaded a pile on the trailer.. figured this should get me to the next stage of progress.... Damm this traffic roadworks everywhere.... I will never get home at this rate... but I did........ I unload my new acquistion and stacked it in the garage........ Damm bobt just exactly where are you going to put this stuff once you have made it... Lad ... Ya gotta re think your strategy.. there just is not the room to do what I was planning..... I know.... ....bite the bullet.... So I did..... I started with this.... then this happened.... Now I have this.... ;D ;D hey the floor was 3 mil ply no wonder it felt spongy............ Tomorrow it will be clean out the waste so I can get around the chassis. Roll the chassis out and clean it up... ;D ;D
