To get my ball weight i had to drive forwards & backwards,so he took the weight of the van, weight of the caraven on the van, so it was 80KG, it did cost $25 for all that plus cerificate though.  |

That would have to be the bargain of century a real weigh in for $5 I assume they gave you a wegh bridge ticket too. Soooo with a 600kg ball weight what sort of vehicle are you going to tow with??  The reason is the ball pulls the weight and there are regs about how much a ball can pull but no regs about what weight is on top. He went on to say it is how the t/port department would check it. Hmmm, I think the weigh bridge guy may be a little "off" there? |

If the ball weight is 600kg, but the ATM is 700kg it must be standing on its nose. Surely 600kg refers to the GTM, indicating the ball weight is 100kg?
