The high window has an East west double bed head under it and the roller is for going over dips and drains,stops the back of the van from being damaged. Smaller vans had wheels on their wind down jacks to serve the same purpose. Cheers hughdeani

Gi'day all. Took the van away again - had a 4day weekend. I passed this interesting van today Check out the door on the wrong side.

That's interesting, must be a yank van, I thought I read somewhere that vans here in Oz could be registered with there opening on the left hand side or to the rear.

yes that is an American Airstream van,over there called a silver bullet. This is one of the new imported models built for Aus and UK. It has a door on each side,which gets over the rego problems we have here! I saw one at a show last year,price was$110.000!! I'll keep my oldies thanks! Cheers

That will be something to keep an eye out for when we're back on the road, bet it must turn a few heads. $110,000....wow, all that money just for 2 doors
