We went to buy a 76 series , but ended up with a Prado. After a brake controller/ radio/ Dc Charger/second battery/air Bags/ computer chip, was added we left a few dollars on the counter. Tows the Nautilus about 2 ton ,very well, the Viscount...like a box trailer. As a solo car (not counting the Mustang, which is club rego regulated) it is the family hack, dog carrier , grandkid pickeruperer. Currently standard suspension, but will shortly have new rear shocks. Off road, it handles well for a standard height & Grandtrek tires, when these wear out I will change to Bf Goodrich. Our 5th Toyota, but next time the Ford Ranger will get a consideration, Prados have always been underpowered as standard, but the chip livens them up. Image shows our previous Prado & Ultimate, on the way to Cape York. Vincent & the new Prado.

Hows the tow ball height mustang ? I have worried about how tall the tow ball might be on prado compared to our old vans that were set up to be towed behind family sedans.

This shot was with the hitch in its upper-most Position. We have now turned the hitch around (upside down) & it seems fairly level. This image with 20psi in the bags & not much in the Viscount, no gas cylinder, no water tank, no spare tyre.

That looks about the same angle my Arrow sits behind the tall tow ball mount on the Transit, only hits the wheelie bars when using steep driveways so the wheels run well now, without gouging holes in conctete like the first time manouver, at the auto electritians lol, heaven only know when they were used previously but both freewheel well now.

Why the Prado over the 76 series? Cant beat the sound of the exhaust note from those v8s!
