Jealous of the progress! Impressive! The floor and paint liven things up a bit nice work.

Yes I'm still alive. With after being sick, weather, new job, and various other things, time runs away. Well, I've added powder coated checker plate to the front, giving that old school black look, but hard as nails checker plate for protection. no pics yet. I've touched the interior up, fixed some water damage, and scratches. I will have to reseal the roof then will look at getting the therma guard on it quicker. So tonight, i'm pretty much done inside. Added the fans, touched it all up, and all I need to do is clean it all, put the fly screens back on and then the blinds. Cushions are getting made as we speak. Something I am considering, more so for aesthetics than practicality. Is removing the big front box, and going for something smaller and angular. from this: to this: So if anyone wants to buy the big alloy box or swap, let me know. Soon, I'll be back outside, putting on a fold down table. Getting those graphics painted on. wire brush and clean the chassis and repaint that. We will soon be requiring accommodation for my little ones dance comps, so it'll nee to be done soon so we can use it.

Yeh, nice little small things(fans)I got through work. Use bugger all power, being small they won't push much air, so ,meh, I'll put them in a nice balanced positions. The box is great, just not balanced looking. It looks like it could swallow the van!

looks better there than on my van I brought a box home tonight, looked ok, but might try another style tomo, lower and wider. I thought about putting the spare wheel under the rear, but I think that might bottom out. so I think it'll end up on the draw bar again. I just don't know, ha ha. I don't think any push bikes will be going onto the front anymore. The other thing I keep thinking of is trying to get some height, like an axle flip or 14s with higher tyres. OR finding some jelly bean or hotwire wheels would really make me smile!

Well hey, i am still alive, just caught up doing everything else, for everyone else. Needless to say though, I think I'm pretty much done apart from a couple minor insignificant things. We recently spent a weekend at goldy for my daughters dance comp, but we chose to borrow a second hand, near new jayco pop top from work. Being cold and we were going to be up early and back late, I thought the ensuite and toilet would be handy. The water pressure was crap, the air con was noisy, should have just taken our old rig anyway. But, there is another weekend in sept, another comp, and possibly will be using the viscount. Anyway, I don't think here are any tricks to explain, except the graphics have been a big hassle. The van has been previously painted, even has the old blue graphics underneath. I found the hard way when I tried pulling the tape off, it pulled the old paint off. Without painting the whole thing again, it'll be right. All 12v finished, I did score bigger 120a/h battery too. Got a box from work, and mounted the pole carrier behind it. the bike rack mounted in front and fits the bikes nicely. Nice place to fit all the setup gear and the small bbq bottle. being so small, I'm still surprised how much storage there is. anyway, enough talk, here's some pics. Blinds done and work well. fly screens basically back with clips and painted the frames black. all bearings and seals done. found they weren't serviced very well, one seal not even fitted properly. happy now. I'm very temped to sell it already and go for a bigger viscount and this time, redo the inside totally. we'll see how it all pans out.

PS Hope that rusty towel rail on the back is next to go.? cheers Before you remove it try wiping on some rust converter ( oxalic acid) a few goes to see what is left. Mine looked terminal but after 2 goes is like new as the rust had not got under the chrome. Almost the same with the hinge on my bar fridge, only sad bit on that is where previous clowns used scotch brite & or sandpaper by the looks, leaving scratchy grooves that rust easily among the very thin chrome remaining.

I might check out some new tail lights, keeping to the same style but fresh. Be great if i found them in led. I haven't gotten the annex out yet, that'l be an interesting exercise, but it all seems to be there. taking it to work tomo to give it all a wash again. doesn't seem to leak from recent rain which is good. give the annex a quick look at, then park it up and cover it up again. awaiting warmer weather.

projects are never finished. I want to do an air con install, but different, but hidden, but might leave it for the next van build. possibly a 16-18ft classic with a full interior rodo

are you on holidays at the moment? Saw a van that looked just like yours with a black stripe travelling south near Menai (south of Sydney) on Sunday afternoon...I was travelling north and almost pulled a neck muscle trying to work out if I had seen it somewhere before!

I changed my LED tail lights back to originals (same as yours) as LED housings can look rather average on old vans (well mine did). I will consider changing the bulbs for LEDs down the track though...
