Hello All,
We have some 'BIG' Things that we would like to show you all - (or rather soms pics of some 'BIG Things').
I'm not sure if this is the right area of the Forum but I'm sure I'll be told if it's not.
Hopefully, other Classic Caravan Members will have 'BigThings' of there own that they may like to show us as well - if so feel free and let's have some fun!
Well, here goes:- this first lot are from the day we left Canberra to travel back to Sunny QLD
a BIG Bus at 'EPIC' - (Canberra Show Grounds) - our last stop over
I promised myself that before we left Canberra I would park on the BIG round - a - bout infront of the AWM and get pics from both directions of ANZAC Avenue and escape before the 'Feds' got me
The BIG Australian War Memorial
the BIG Commemorative Stone in front of the AWM
the other direction looking over to Old & The BIG New Parliament Houses
The BIG Lookout on top of Mt Ainsley - above the AWM
The BIG Marino at Goulburn
This next lot is along the way to Sunny QLD
The BIG Ayers Rock look - a - like servo Sout of Bulahdelah
'The BIGGEST Tackle Shop in the World' at Coffs Harbour
The BIG Banana North of Coffs Harbour
The BIG Prawn at Ballina
The BIG Macadamia Nut Castle North of Ballina
Security is Big at the BIG Macadamia Nut Castle
BIG Ned at Maryborough QLD
Well, we made it and with out a problem at all - I was very impressed with the old Van and the rig in general.
Cheers, Des & Thora

Good photos Des. Thora must be very patient with your" photo opportunities" . I have been up and down Sydney/Brisbane a few times but never taken any photos of any of these. FYI ,the big oyster is still at Taree for your next trip !! cheers Murray

The only reason the quality is poor --- there is no EGG in-front of it.

Was it just me? or in the last photo did you have a completely different tow car? Thanks, you have given us a great idea for a trip theme when we do that leg of our AusLap! Kids can help do the research as part of their home school then map it out

Hey ACS21,
Yes.....you are correct - it is a different tow car - and you are the only who has picked up on that.
Same Caravan - same destination but pic was taken a little while after we arrived but still fits the theme.
Great Idea to involve the kids - helps to make them feel part of things.
We have more 'BIG' Things to share but will wait a while and hope that others will get involved a bit more.
Cheers, Des & Thora

G'day All, This is the 'BIG' propeller off the 'Cherry Ventura' which ran aground near Rainbow Beach back in the early 70's. It was a huge tourist attraction for many years until the local council got very nervous and decided to cut it up and remove it completely from the beach due to the number of 'backpackers' falling through the decks. Anyway - the propeller found it's way to the car park at Rainbow Beach Surf Club where it remains today.

Hey Ted,
This is an earlier pic just prior to the spare wheel carrier.
I posted some current pics in my 'Rainbow Beach 21, 22 & 23 OCT 2014' post in 'The Classic Caravan Social Scene'.
Cheers, Des
PS she towed very well on that trip
