Gday guys Well looks like Youndazza wins the opportunity to post a piccy ...even found the same pic on the net . Great place at this time of year but seriously the mozzies are like dive bombers in the wet season and if you have a dog keep it off the red sand or you will be spending an hour a day pulling cattle ticks out of every crevice it has and dont take it anywhere near the waters edge when fishing or all that will be heard is the splash but it was a great place to live and has the best fishing in the wet that I have ever done !!! Myalls bore at the front near the road is also a pretty cool place Anyhow over to you Youngdazza Cheers Andy

Some say it's in the N.T and others claim W.A I think one of these is correct, or was, I believe it to be an empty shed now. The echidna and his reptilian friend have moved on.

The photo was taken 18 months ago, so it may have moved on by now! And yes it had a reptilian friend

The now empty shed is behind the Erldunda roadhouse NT. We stopped there a few weeks ago for fuel. Dad was keen to show the grandkids the echidna and lizard, very disappointed they'd moved on. I remember seeing photos of their 2009 trip, I've not seen the statues in the "flesh".

Spot on, Planner! The Echidna was at the Erlunda roadhouse in NT, on the corner of the Stuart Highway and the Lasseter Highway (about 200km to Uluru). Google MapsIts a shame to hear that its now gone! Over to you, planner...

Hopefully this still looks over a state highway and hasn't moved on, I haven't seen it for a few years (daughter in pic is now 13). Planner

Time for some hints:
1. located on a north-south highway running in NSW (although does not fully traverse state). 2. The logs are a result of current/past logging and sawmilling activities.
