It looks like a new freeway being built.
It could be any one of a number of places around the country, and it depends when the picture was taken.
Is it in northern NSW?

Hint for cafe is above Gundagai & before Sydney. The funny thing is the 1st pic recreates a scene from a huge number of article pics showing everything from Caravans, speedboats to Australian & Japanese cars on road tests from the 1950s to the late 1980s, when i stopped buying such magazines. The service station was a Golden Fleece and regularly also featured.

The lack of interest in this thread is a little surprising, considering how good it can be as a learning experience about interesting places around Australia. Surely one of the reasons we own a caravan is to travel and find new and interesting places? Maybe this forum is more about nuts and bolts, and repairing caravans, and not about travel? When you’ve finally finished repairing or renovating your van what do you do with it? Jim

Guy's you have kick started it yourselves - I don't know very much about Sydney or NSW so Ate you will need some members from down south to jump in and get you an answer. I think if it is not guessed in a few days to a week then start putting up clues, hard at first then make them obvious. If whoever picks the spot doesn't put something up in a week then it will be first in with another spot starts it again.

Yep this one ran hot for awhile. Seems to have lost its 'legs' I will take a punt. The first pic looks of ate's looks like it has a disussed railway line in the back ground.. Would the town start with a "G" ? The other two look like the front yard of a caravan park that I stayed at once.

The way it worked on pages previous was folks posting a guess and maybe a question, to fish for clues. So top pic is South Australia between Adelaide & Melbourne/Sydney and a "Bridge" so ****** Bridge. The Cafe is NSW so hopefully someone who has travelled the Hume highway may "roll in" with an answer or clue fish.

Hi guys This thread always reminds me of the film Weekend at Bernies ....it gets rolled out on occasion ,shown a bit of air and then disappears back into the ether !!! anyhow I'll give it another kick along The first pic is easy cause it is where my old man was born so it is Murray Bridge taken from the opposite side of the river from the township The second pic I have no idea ...it could be anywhere And as for the third pic "would that have been the old Golden Fleece servo down by the river in Gundagai where the dog on the tuckerbox used to be ? Cheers Andy

So patiencene is needed for not only reno but also thread progress in the classic world ---> www.facebook.com/RolloninCafeThe 2 pics below Murray Bridge were for local knowlege, rather than the thread.
