Hello olfarts,
we went across that crossing when we stayed at Katherine in 1999, we were having a look at the Low Level Crossing caravan park that every one told us we should stay at, ( we stayed at another that was good ) which was a Big 4 at the time, later that year when we got a Big 4 guide there was a picture of the crossing on the front cover with a Nissan Patrol on the bridge, and I swear that it was our car crossing it. The picture that you posted Dave looks like there are a bit more trees than I remember.
I have to agree there are nice spots up Northern Australia.
Regards Shane

Well, I've cheated and looked on the internet. The "Walkabout Creek" pub in the Crocodile Dundee movie looks different above the verandah roof to the one in olfarts' photo. Were there different pubs used in the different movies?? C'mon olfarts, give me a special clue so I can beat that Shane fella to the answer!! ;D ;D cheers, Al.
