Hi Peter55 It most certainly is in the Herberton historical village. ;D ;D ;D
Must have made that one far too easy Was there over the weekend, it is really very interesting with lots to see and memories galore. Well worth the $24 entrance fee.
Your go Peter

Hi OlFarts I think that Peter55 scooped the prize to post the next pictures of the country for the "Where is This?" guessing game. It's a lot of fun isn't it? I'm making a list of places to go see as I watch them pop up. Cheers Seeshell

Spot on Andy. For those of you who don't know the spot its a shot walk from a reasonable caravan park, good fishing and not far from some good wineries. The whole area within about 1.5 hours drive has a lot going for it, and there are some brilliant walking trails and parks. Don

G'day Dave Would this be at Moana Beach in SA and yeah the old vals were lengendry hey,I once had a CM val that was originally a police car and then I ran it as a taxi and I sold it to a mate for a run around vehicle and no bs it had 1700000 ks on it and it still ran well(mind you it had been rebored to 60 thou oversize and has now been dead for12 years) Atog reckon there might have been a few changes at emerald since 1980.I remember the town in the early 80s and I couldnt believe how much it had changed when I went back a couple of years ago, just keeps getting bigger! Cheers Andy

In the Mid 70's our XO's car was a Charger (Navy), pale blue and white of course. I remember taking it to Bathurst to play rugby when one of the Kombi's broke. That is still a memorable drive. In the late 70's, Little brother now a well known horseman used to cart his horses behind a 68 Valiant which never let him down. These days he has a couple of F350's Coming from Stanthorpe in the Granite Belt there were Valiants everywhere when I was growing up, and I remember quite a few Chrysler Royals as well. Funny how this thread brings back so many great memories. Thanks for starting it.

I'll pay Moana Beach, its actually Aldinga Beach, one of the very few beaches in any city you can drive a 2 wheel drive car on. During summer its not un common to see 4 rows of cars parked up and down the beach, people, kids all having Barby's,playing footy ball, cricket etc. I made to below trailer with Barby to tow down to the beach behind a convertible i had at the time. Ive had Valiants most of my life,Ive never had one let me down,,,,yet !! The stable also has a 1960 AP3 Chrysler Royal in it these days. Way you go Andy, its all yours ;D Dave
