Hi all,I have pulled apart(not entirely) and painted and resealed my 24 x louvre windows(8 x 3 louvre windows around the 1973 van).Have refitted half of them. They had foam self adhesive tape on the 3 inside leading edges(sides and bottom) about 10mm wide and 4-5mm thick.I am assumming that was to help keep dust out??So I replaced them with new foam tape. Was that original??,or did the previous owners just put that on??The problem I have, some of the louvres when closed have a very small gap, that I know when towing in the rain, water will definitely come in.When not towing,I doubt the gap is big enough to be of concern unless it was torential rain on an angle. All windows open and close and run very well(which I was surprised for a 50 year old van),nothing seems to be loose. But some(not all) just have very small gaps,no matter how much I wind them in.Any solutions??It has taken me near 2 weeks of my time, and I am at my wits end as to what to do? Do I remove all foam tape??Do I sell the van and buy a new one??
