personally I think a more appropriate colour for a sports car is closer to a fire engine red. so kiwijim... when do you take delivery of yours?

At this date, it will be around 8 mths,
Having the motor changed from 460hp G.M. to a 520 hp Perkins with gas conversion.
Also getting the right hand conversion done in the States, far cheaper than here.
The Cheese & Spice wants some other mods done, so it will also add to the wait.
At this stage it is estimated delivery should be in mid July 2011.

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Good one Jim
Seeing this type of bus reminds me of the Luxury boats I use to work on as a labourer.
Multi million dollar boats that the owners would use for maybe 6weeks of the year...... Hmmmmm not really cost effective.
Must admit though it is a beautiful job. Shows the skills of some people.
Would love to own it Cause then I could sell it buy something more practical and travel Australia for some years and still have cash left over ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Cheers Atog

Howdy Atog, Well I caught an unexpected fish, I chucked out the line in the last comment, Thought I might have snagged Bobt, ;D ;D ;D Guess I heaved it tooooo far. Sure makes one sick to drive around the Mariners in most ports, looking at some of the luxury boats just riding at the moorings, half look as though they have been in moth balls for a couple of years or more. How come so few can have so much "Yep" you have convinced me, don't waste the money on that Yank Tank, think I might go and buy another half doz Classics ;D ;D ;D

Way back in the 1970s (at least I think it was the 70s) they had a special car on display at the Sydney Caravan Show. The car was specially bought in from America, as a star attraction. This extended car, which I seem to remember was based on a Cadillac, had a large spa bath (jacuzzi?) built into the rear section behind the passenger cabin. From memory, the car had multiple sets of wheels at the rear to carry the loaded weight. I remember being amazed at what engineers were capable of doing, to end up with something like that. Another story that has no relationship to anything above, but which still tickles my fancy, is that somewhere in my photo collection is a photo of my then mid-90s Mazda 626 pretending to be hooked up to a monster 35ft van in a caravan park somewhere in Victoria. The van was somebody's permanent holiday home, and I just couldn't resist backing the Mazda up to the coupling and taking a photo that looked as if the Mazda was actually the towcar. cheers, Al.

Howdy Al, Yes, I have seen a photo of that limo with the spa bath built on the rear, but can't find the picture. While hunting through pic's on FlickR, I came across what is described as, " the worlds largest single axle caravan"............. Check out the size of the owners standing beside the wheel

never be jealous of what someone else has...
ya have no idea what they have had to do to get it..
some of em don't know what it is like to have a holiday let alone understand the meaning of having a favourite camp site.
or make new friends out of total strangers they meet on the side of the road..
Kiwijim... I wanna see the tug that tows that single axle caravan... imagine trying ta get it on the spirit ;D ;D
millard1399 - I am sure I have seen that car for sale recently. Looked in a real sad state.
It did the show circuit around Melbourne in the 70s/80s
