My tow vehicle is a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo, 2.5 turbo diesel, 5 speed things I.ve done to it. added air bags to front suspension 2.5 straight through exhaust exiting side pipe turned up fuel adjusted waste gate on turbo to 14lbs of boost added second fuel tank, now carries 35 gallons added bonnet scoop for better air intake full mechanical gages, including EGT and boost electric fan It gets 23 MPG pulling my 13' Cygnet caravan and still has plenty of get up and go, so this makes me a very, very happy camper ;D ;D ;D cheers, Wayne Attachments:

, G'day Wayne, I like your Rodeo there mate. We have the same shape vehicle here, or at least we used to have, they're no longer sold here, but we call it a Holden Frontera here. We do have a Holden Rodeo (now Isuzu Rodeo) but it's more of a work truck. Here the Frontera was available with a 2 or 2.2 L four cylinder petrol (short wheelbase 3 door) and a 3.2 L V6 petrol (long wheel base 5 door like yours), no diesel available in that model but diesels have been available for many years in our Rodeos. Like the straight through pipe, but none of our states would register it here and the police would nab you for having an insufficient silencer in any state or territory here. Nevertheless it looks like a good towing truck, especially for a small light van like the Cygnet, but I bet it would make a great stump puller too. Cheers, Ross.

Hi Ross, No vehicle inspections here in Florida so we can get away with just about anything, the exhaust is suprisingly quiet tho, not much loader the the stock pipe with muffler. It does get alot of looks out on the road. Cheers, Wayne

Hi Wayne
I like the sound of getting 23 mpg towing the caravan. That would certainly make me a happy lad too..
How much are you paying for your fuel??

Howdy there Bobt, Fuel is $2.66 GAL, but I 've been cheating a little, also been mixing a little WVO in it to help off set the cost, cheers, Wayne

Howdy Gary, Was running strait WVO for a long time,in my 223 and a 83 300 TD Mercedes, in my Rodeo I've been running 75% WVO 25% diesel.a friend of mine is running 40% Wvo,40% used engine oil and 20% diesel in his Mercedes, when I change my oil I do just dump the used oil into my fuel tank, its a good way to get rid of it. Cheers Wayne
