Hi to all. I have just joined as I would like some info on my Ever new dulux 80 caravan. It has a leak and after I find it and seal it. ( silicon?). I need to remove the ply wood on the ceiling and replace. As I do not have much carpentry skills I wonder how to go about it. Is electric wires up there etc? Does any one have any suggestions. Thanks

Hi jaytotheray
silicon wouldn't be the best but if you look though the techo stuff section you will be able to read up and decide what is best for you . I used mastic but some use sikaflex both have good points .
If there are lights in roof you will have electrical wires in roof . If your van has a wooden frame you may have rot in the frame. To tell if you have a wood or aluminum frame if it is aluminum the outside cladding will have pop rivets holding it to frame if it is wood it will have screws holding it to the frame .
hope all is good and an easy fix for you
