hi peoples ,i picked up a 16/17ft chesney president early last year and have rebuilt her , only have A frame left to do and a few little things ,but what i was wondering was what the year model is, the numbers on my A frame are HG18389 can anybody please decifer these and help me out, cheers jas

Hi Jason, this is from the Chesney Caravan Group on Facebook written by Ryan Chesney - My grandfather ‘Neil Chesney’ gave me a book some time back with some information on various things and this particular one is in there. When they moved their manufacturing and factory to Lawnton(QLD) (on Gympie Road where super cheap auto now are) they implemented a ‘letter’ system to keep track of the month and year of the build on the chassis. I have attached a photo below of the way to tell. (photo is in the group) It goes something like this. Before each chassis number: Started from 1968 January ,1968 = AA Febuary, 1968 = BA March, 1968 = CA And so on! So from that, I get August 1974 for yours  |
