For sale is a 1976 Franklin Arrow 16 foot caravan in fantastic original condition. It has no water damage, and no leaks. We are the second owner, and it seems like it was kept undercover its whole life. The original owner was one of the founding members of the RACV Caravan Club. There is some historical information/documentation etc that will be shared with the purchaser. It does not look like it has travelled much. Tyres are like new, and there is a spare with a brand new tyre.
Included is a full canvas annex which looks like it has barely been used. The annex includes floor, caravan skirt, internal divider, etc etc. See picture of brochure - it looks very similar to this. There are also canvas covers for windows, and heaps of other bits and pieces.
The van was owned by an engineer, and has been set up with all kinds of guages/water pump/switches etc.
Also included is a custom built cover for the drawbar which is on wheels and simply wheels out of the way when you need to get to the drawbar.
The braking system is a "vintage" vacuum brake setup, and would very easily be converted to over-ride hydraulic if required. I towed this van home with a Toyota Kluger with no problems - it towed beautifully.
This van really needs to be seen to be appreciated. It really is an amazing example of a Franklin Arrow. We bought it with big ideas, but we are not using it - it really needs to be loved and used.
