Travelhome Deluxe 1975

Hi there,

My husband and I are considering buying one of these beauties and I was hoping to get some advice as there isn’t a whole lot of info out there about the ole Travelhomes..

What should I be looking out for when we tour the van?

We’re capable of a small amount of diy and more than willing to put in the work, but hoping to avoid more complex issues if possible.

From the pictures we have she looks in great shape, has anyone bought a classic Travelhome and had a good/bad experience?

Hi NJ, welcome to the forum. We did up a 1972 Travelhome a couple of years ago and there is a post in the Members photo album on this site. You can do a search for Travelhome of scroll through the hall of fame. We were lucky to get one with only minor damage, and a good chassis. I wire brushed and painted the chassis, fitted a new axle and coupling while my wife repainted the interior and made up all new cushions.
