Hy guys! My partner and I just scored this awesome van from his mum. She purchased it 10+ years ago and didn’t get much information from the previous seller, which means we have no information from her. The rego sticker states that this is a franklin van, but after many hours searching the internet I can’t find any vans similar to this one. I’ve found a number and a letter welded on, but until I remove the tyre that’s covering it I can’t see what the numbers are yet. Any help would be appreciated!
Just trying to upload photos now!

Hi chopecity, Your van is a Silvan, made in Melbourne in the seventies. For some reason it has a Franklin door though! You won’t find much info on them,if anything,as they weren’t around for long. Some of these had chipboard floors painted over with bitumen underneath,so beware of that if it’s spongy! Hope this helps Cheers hughdeany

Hey Hughdeany! Thank you for your response! You were right, I tried to look up silvan vans then and got nothing.
Bit of a long shot, but do you know where I could find a replacement poptop canvas for this type of van? I’m located northeast of Melbourne.
Thank you again!

Go to your local canvas maker and get them to make you one. Cheers hughdeany
