G'day All:
After a couple of years of struggling to wind the rear stabilizer legs of my Franklin Hunter, I found a very simple solution, which I dare say has already been thought of.
However, I thought I would share it in case someone else is still battling with an old steel rod winder or something similar. IMG_20190509_080218_resized by Jack Watson, on Flickr Here is the complete mechanism: IMG_20190509_080310_resized by Jack Watson, on Flickr

Elegant Solution - Why not shim the outside of the extn tube to 1/2" inside and use a Cordless Drill and a 1/2 sq - 1/4 hex adaptor - "Just getting lazy in my old age."

Hi Jack, I’m pretty sure you can still buy those winders from caravansplus. Cheers Hughdeany
