G'day All, I see in an Auto Parts catalogue this week there is a new trailer plug design available... The two 50 Amp pins would substitute for an Andersen plug if you used one in your current set-up. Not sure if $50 for both the male and female parts is dearer or cheaper than separate 7-pin + Andersen plug components.

Interesting - looks like a modified version of the 12 pin setup - I used this on the Franklin but I wasn’t convinced it was a better way of doing things to be honest.

the Andersen plug would give a better connection in the long run I think. The split type pins tend to weaken then over time get brittle. On a truck if you see the clearance lights on trailer flashing on and off it is usually the middle pin has weakened and not making a proper connection.
