Hi all, thought we'd come back and say Hi. Not that we went far away. You just get busy with life and sometimes forget to come back after a while, then when you do you have to re-register. All good. We bought a 77 Millard from a guy over Wollongong way about October 2012. MM1399 and still have the Van and its been going strong
We bought it to match our tow car ditzygypsy.proboards.com/thread/1981/56-chevy but this restoration is a long one so in the meantime we went and bought another Chevy and we decided to match the paint on the van. We had our first weekend away a couple of weeks ago with the new paint scheme.
Hope to check back a bit more often and see what's going on.
Cheers Karen & Paul

Hi chevgirl56
That is a very nice wagon you have there.
Rather strange that you should pop up today. I was chatting to Al about your van this arvo and its current whereabouts. Pleased to see your out and about using it. A lot of blood sweet and tears went onto that restoration.
Do post some pics on the adventures you have had with it.

Gday Bobt
Wow how weird is that. The wagon needs a little bit of work but very happy with it so far. Getting the tow bar sorted was quite easy at Allin Towbars here in Adelaide.
And yes Al did a great job restoring the Millard. Is he still around on this site?? I see all the pics from his story from when he restored it are gone. Karen printed that story back when we bought it and we have a folder that has over 200 pages.... We did catch up with him at the Broken Hill Nationals back in 2014. We have been to a lot places in between, so we'll post some pics soon.
Cheers Paul

What a lovely setup! How have you got the BBQ up the front set up - is there a suport attached to draw bar? Any chance of a close up pic of that? 👍😊

How great to hear that a van I finished restoring in 2010 is still "alive and kicking" eight years later!! Have been wondering what might have happened to it. You guys have done a fantastic job giving the van a makeover to suit your own tastes.
Hope you continue to enjoy the Millard well into the future!
cheers, Al.

G'day Snoops, yeah I have another jockey wheel bracket welded in place. I'll post some pics and storey in the next couple of days.
G'day Al (pisces51) Yep still have the Millard and still going strong. Have been many places since we seen you up in Broken Hill back in 2014. I re did the stone guard as the old one peeled off coming back from Echuca last October and re did the gas bottles to 2 smaller ones. 1 is for the cooker inside the van and 1 for the BBQ when set up.
G'day wildgoose and thanks.
