The Vintage Caravan Forum Admin crew have identified a couple of solutions for posting photos on the Forum.
How do I post photos on the forum?
To post photos on the forum, you need to use an online photo storage platform or website. There are quite a few suitable websites available, and you are free to use which ever one you choose.
The admin team has looked at a number of the photo storage websites that can be used, and suggests that you use either Flickr or Postimage. You will find instructions on how to post photos using each of these websites by clicking on the following links:

People who have their photos stored on their own personal server can also post photos on the forum from their server.
Features to look for in a photo storage website
When choosing a photo storage website to post your photos from, look for the following features:
1. The website expressly permits third party hosting/linking. (Flickr, Postimage)
2. It provides a readily accessible URL link/BBCode to copy and paste into your forum post. (Flickr, Postimage)
3. It provides an 'album' system that allows you to categorise your photos if you wish. (Flickr, Postimage)
4. It allows you to edit your photos (rotate, crop, etc) within the website after your photos have been uploaded. (Flickr)
5. It provides a Privacy setting, so that you can make your photos private and not available to the general public if you want to. (Flickr)
The features offered by Flickr and Postimage are shown in brackets.
A word on Photobucket for existing and new forum members
For 12+ years many forum members posted their photos using the Photobucket photo storage website, and you will see many references to Photobucket on the forum - including recommendations for using that platform for posting photos. However in July 2017, Photobucket introduced a very high annual fee for people using its website for 'third party hosting/linking' (the method we used to post photos on the forum). The forum admin team therefore no longer recommends Photobucket as a platform for posting photos, unless you are prepared to pay the high fee required.
