hey guys, up to a couple of weeks ago (sold to a Japanese collector) i towed my (unknown) 10ft pop top, with the iconic and quite rare Land Cruiser Arkana. I have it on pretty good authority the vehicle was probably built as a rural ambulance. Probably total overkill but why not. The vehicle sure did get a lot of attention and was stone cold reliable. Probably not the best vehicle for reversing a little van because of its really slow and not powered steering and it embarrassed me on many occasions. In the end the only practical way to reverse the van was to put it in low range first to give yourself the best chance correcting the van.

What are you towing her with now ? The old cruisers rock....in the late 80's I had a '83 HJ47 Troopy ( worked in Kalgoorlie ) and it was the perfect touring / camping beast. Super reliable and tough...up and down the west coast, across the ditch several times commuting Syd / Kal, loads of room for gear and sleeping in the back on trips...go anywhere ! Yeah I heard the Japanese collectors are going nuts for all their old stuff. Anyways welcome to the forum ! cheers - Steve.
