G'Day ALL, Just in case you all thought I had finished sticking things onto the THOMSON.......... Being my 300th posting, I thought I would brighten things up a bit ;D ;D ;D I have just added some L.E.D. tail-lights onto the rear of the THOMSON ;D ;D the reason being, the original lights are very low and imposable to see by a second vehicle behind. I have been in this situation before where a car has overtaken the one following me at night only to find that there is no gap to come back into because the trailer I was towing could not be seen and it appeared that there was a good distance between me and the car behind. These lights can be seen from a great distance......very bright. They appear to be white, but are a brilliant red when on. Thanks for the idea ATOG. kiwijim

Hi kiwijim Having spent the best part of this afternoon squeezing some cable down the inside of the wall of my caravan, I have to ask how did you go with the wiring?? The look good. A real good idea. But what are you doing towing a van at night. Should be tucked up somewhere enjoying an ale or 3

Hey There Bobt, Having spent the best part of this afternoon squeezing some cable down the inside of the wall of my caravan, I have to ask how did you go with the wiring?? In answer to your above question......... I cheated, I removed the inner wall panels, parted the pink Batts insulation, then drilled a 1/8 hole through the wall from the outside, picking up the wire to the two side clearance lights in the wall. kiwijim

G'Day Bobt, "Yep" it can't be much fun trying to get the thingie behind a glued wall, sometimes the long way around could be the best way.......... for example :- taking a wire from the floor to the ceiling, run the wire along under the floor to the base of a Wardrobe, through the floor inside the cupboard, up the inside wall, then if its a light you wish to install, drill a hole at the light position then feed a draw wire in the hole at the closest point back toward the wardrobe, bend the end of the wire, attach the electrical wire, pull through to hole........."wella" $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ATOG ...... COBWEBS on the THOMSON " SHOCK"..... " HORROR"......have a seat Jimmy...... I feel faint NEVER in a million years,,,,,,,,,,,, As my friend PAULINE would say " PLEASE EXPLAIN " You must be mistaken

Hi eagle eye... no miss the finer detail.....Atog No wunda you do such good work..... I had to look twice and closer with the glasses on... ;D ;D kiwijim I have pondered for ages about running some 12 volt wire around the inside of my pop top. I want to fit a solar panel to the roof but don't want wire running around inside where the world can see it. My father got me a little embarrassed last weekend because I had not fitted the win-guard antenna that he gave me. And of course it needs 12volt. After some considerable thought I pulled the vent behind the microwave off and poked around inside the wall with a hap hazardly straightened coat hanger, much to my surprise I was able to get the coat hangar to appear at the top vent to the fridge. So I removed that vent and then started encouraging some 12 volt wire, carefully attached to the exposed end of the coat hangar wire, back up the wall...... BINGO.... got it..... ;D ;D Now this weekend I will drill holes in the roof. Before I fit the antenna I will see if I can poke some 12 volt wire around to somewhere near where I would like the solar panel. Ya never know ya luck in the BIG city, I might actually be able to do it.... So in the mean time, whilst poking around the pop top, "Ugly As Sin" is being neglected. Sure will save me the pasting he will give me when I next see him in QLD....

"Hey There" Bobt & Atog, Well I zoomed in 150 % on that photo of the so called COB WEB...... Sorry Guys, I am convinced it's nothing more than......" SCOTTISH MIST" After all......... What self-respecting Aussie spider would make it's home on a Scottish caravan carrying lights made in Japan, Upholstery from China, Door catches from Italy, Perspex from Taiwan and a Loo from England ;D "GEZ" Atog.......it's no wonder the Olympic will be a perfect specimen when finished, if you are looking that close at finer details, ;D ;D ;D ;D just wondering.........you didn't happen to spot that spider in the corner, did you ? ;D P.S. The rain has finally arrived here in the West " YOU BEAUTY " Cheers and Beers kiwijim ;D
