Hello to all ,
I am picking up today a 1978 viscount high roof van , not sure if you call it high roof , but is one with living area raised. Does anybody no much about these Thanks Gene

G'day gene, and welcome to the forum! When you pick up the van, have a look for the chassis number welded on the drawbar just next to the jockey wheel somewhere. Post that number here and we should be able to tell you the year the van was built. I'm pretty sure the high-roof Viscounts were built in the earlier years in the 1970s, but forum member "hughdeani" will know for sure. If you click on this thread and scroll down the screen to the photos, you'll see the shape of the longer Viscounts from the later 1970s. The chassis number showing in the photo is not 570778 - the first 'number' is actually a poorly welded "S", and so the chassis number is S70778, meaning it's the 778th chassis built in 1977 and is the Supreme model. cheers, Al.
