Hi all,
We are looking at a York 11ft (1978) to reno (possible may have it within the week) and some questions which comes to mind is how they are constructed...
1. Am I right in thinking the order of construction is (1) sub-frame; (2) floor; then frame/body. ?
2. Can you lift the body from the subframe *if* the subframe requires work?
3. The brakes are standard drum brakes?
Thanks in advance

Gidday Stephen & Lindy Usual construction of a caravan is, chassis built first (subframe) floor attached to the chassis. Walls built on the floor sometimes the furniture is built first. Lastly the skin is attached. As for separating the body from the chassis, its possible and has been done by others. Yep it will have drum brakes.
Go take a look under "Hall of Fame" at the work others have done. Do start your own thread there too.
