The reality is he ran on an almost identical platform as Abbott did and likewise got un expected support from voters not normally aligned that way. It will be interesting as unlike the LNP here there is no IPA nor big pharma/ lobby groups he needs to pay back. The Don may have revenge against Goldman Sachs & Citybank & ors, (very protected via the outgoing mob), should include them paying back US taxpayers money for the 2009 bail out, needed as they messed up with sub prime & other dubious investements... and not financing his golf courses and later condos.

The part I find amazing is that the "rigged" system the donald railed against is what has given him the job Clinton gained a far greater % of the primary vote so in a way the polls were right she gained more votes but he gained the Electoral college votes so took the win , buckle up people this is goin to be a tough 3 years I know with what we have lost overnight on the market we have some belt tightening to do in our future pending the relationship of share price on ROI definitely overseas travel is cancelled

O/S travel is over rated anyway, we have such a beautiful and enormous country to travel and enjoy. Heck, it will take me years just to travel through Tassie let alone mainland.
Regardless, the whole situation is out of our control, so best be proactive and adjust as necessary.

We have something most countries do not have, forget mining for the minute, Land....farming land...we could be a proverbial food bowl, without adding to global warming, pollution etc, grow it, process it, package it & sell it to the world.

Trump’s first day at the Oval Office. First briefing by the CIA, Pentagon, FBI:
Trump: We must destroy ISIS immediately.
CIA: We cannot do that, sir. We created them along with Turkey, Saudi, Qatar and others.
Trump: The Democrats created them.
CIA: We created ISIS, sir. You need them or else you would lose funding from the natural gas lobby.
Trump: Stop funding Pakistan. Let India deal with them.
CIA: We can’t do that. It is Modi in India and not Manmohan.
Trump: So what?
CIA: Modi will cut Balochistan out of Pak.
Trump: I don’t care.
CIA: India will have peace in Kashmir. They will stop buying our weapons. They will become a superpower. We have to fund Pakistan to keep India busy in Kashmir.
Trump: But you have to destroy the Taliban.
CIA: Sir, we can’t do that. We created the Taliban to keep Russia in check during the 80s. Now they are keeping Pakistan busy and away from their nukes.
Trump: We have to destroy terror sponsoring regimes in the Middle East. Let us start with the Saudis.
Pentagon: Sir, we can’t do that. We created those regimes because we wanted their oil. We can’t have democracy there, otherwise their people will get that oil – and we cannot let their people own it.
Trump: Then, let us invade Iran.
Pentagon: We cannot do that either, sir.
Trump: Why not?
CIA: We are talking to them, sir.
Trump: What? Why?
CIA: We want our stealth drone back. If we attack them, Russia will obliterate us as they did to our buddy ISIS in Syria. Besides we need Iran to keep Israel in check.
Trump: Then let us invade Iraq again.
CIA: Sir, our friends (ISIS) are already occupying 1/3rd of Iraq.
Trump: Why not the whole of Iraq?
CIA: We need the Shi’ite gov’t of Iraq to keep ISIS in check.
Trump: I am banning Muslims from entering US.
FBI: We can’t do that.
Trump: Why not?
FBI: Then our own population will become fearless.
Trump: I am deporting all illegal immigrants to south of the border.
Border patrol: You can’t do that, sir.
Trump: Why not?
Border patrol: If they’re gone, who will build the wall?
Trump: I am banning H1Bs.
USCIS: You cannot do that.
Trump: Why?
Chief of staff: If you do so we’ll have to outsource White House operations to Bangalore. Which is in India.
Trump: What the hell should I do???
CIA: *Enjoy the White House, sir! We will take care of the rest!!!*

Sometimes it is best to check behind the scenes shares dropped and then rose it was only prices not a lot sold not a lot were purchased volume was way down on a normal days trade bit like a Holden dealer advertising new cars for 50% off on TV after close of trade on a saturday night and then Monday at 8am the promo ends Holden were 1/2 price the headlines scream but no one got one

Donald may just be a puppet and the VP Mike Pence will call the shots. What is very disappointing is the lack of spine other leaders accross the globe have shown. These same individuals have publicly spoken out against Donald's comments, but now that he has the gig its all very quickly forgotten and the shoe licking has begun.

If it is like our mob they will spend four years blaming the other side for every thing that is wrong hoping it gets them elected again. Just hope he doesn't do a liberal party and have a big fire sale of American assets. Pretty soon they will have to hire us out around the would like slaves just so they can keep their pensions and run the country because once everything is sold and they jack up the prices massively even the rich peoples money will last only so long.

We were putting in a private comms network at the ASX building, after the normal walk through for keys, codes and pathways, we got our gear to the roof then went for morning tea to see huge crowds on Bond Street of crying & screaming adults looking at a very red, primitive by todays standards but state of the art board, with lots of led lights on it. The market had crashed harder than since the Great Depression. The next few hours as we ran cable from roof to the spot, on those floors we noticed a huge buzz and many folks excitedly borrowing money to buy more stock, that seemed at odds to the chaos and now tv & radio news crews looking for train wreck investors at street level. How the suits make cash V the Mum & Dad investors turned out to be very different. Since then with real time trading and cheap brokerage avenues to chase stocks for those reading the newspaper or listening to talkback, much easier.
