Hi all, we were glad to find this forum! For the grand sum of $500 hubby and I have just bought a Viscount Supreme to refurbish. This is our first caravan to fix up so we are complete newbies. We've been browsing the forum for the past few nights and finding it very interesting. We will probably have lots of questions to ask as we progress. So far we have only given her a wash on the outside and a clean out on the inside. She isn't completely original as the person we bought her from made some alterations but then gave up on the project. We aren't going to keep the inside original anyway though. Our plan at the moment is to freshen it up with a couple of coats of properly done laminate paint. The van has wrap around windows at each end, still has most of her bubble windows but some have been replaced with flat plastic panels (we plan to replace the replacements with perspex). The Viscount logo is long gone but the Supreme logo is still there, under the curved window by the door. The draw bar is too rusted to see any numbers on it. The door side is original - white with a lemon yellow solid strip level with the windows. The other side, the front and the back have all had a "lovely" coat of what we think is white housepaint complete with paint runs and a bright blue painted stripe for that special finishing touch. I have a Flickr account but am not sure if I know how to add photos from there to here..... and if I want to add some photos to show which thread should I put them in?
