Hi, I was after a bit of info on what I was told was a 1973 Franklin Arrow 15.5 foot 5 berth with a serial no roughly welded onto the draw bar "W54086". Does anyone have atm details? Also any idea where to start to repair a leak in the rear window? Could it track down from the gap between the wall and roof panel where it has been smeared with silicone before? Thanks, James.

G`Day James you should find that a W means you have a 1975 Arrow. Those pesky leaks can be anything from a loose screw in the window surrounds, window winder box or as you mentioned via the roof. The only real way to stop it is to replace the mastic window seal and start from there. If the roof is the leak source then a proper renewed window seal will mean the water continues down past that area to further rot out lower zones! (OMG) Gitano & Tasmillard have some excellent videos to show their reno journey and tips... ditzygypsy.proboards.com/thread/3582/gitanos-franklin-arrow?page=1 ditzygypsy.proboards.com/thread/2935/new-millard-16ft-14866?page=1Our Global Moderator Mustang has also posted some great information on mastic V silicon, either in separate threads or the Vincent one.

Yep, W is a 75 - same as mine. Leaks come with the territory, they can be frustrating and time consuming to fix. With a van that old, you're going to need to do some work to it. As suggested, removing and resealing all the windows is a good start, the remove, clean and reseal all the J moulds that run along the roofline where the walls meet it. These extend over each end all the way to the floor. If you don't stop, there's a week of your life gone. As as for the ATM, you'll have to stick it over a weighbridge as the manufacturers didn't have to record that detail back then. As a rough guide, it should weigh around 1200Kg if it hasn't bee touched. Mine weighs just over 1300Kg now it's renovated (I think 50Kg of that is sealant) this is ones mine if you want to look to see if it is similar - ditzygypsy.proboards.com/thread/2558/new-old-75-franklinFee free to post some pics and ask anything else that you're thinking of.
