We are doing up a 1972 Viscount Royal. Paintwork was peeling off on one side so we have painstakingly removed the paint by hand. We need to take off the cover strip around the van before painting. Any tips? It would appear that it has just been sealed with silicon where the previous owners thought necessary. It has been in the weather for a long time and the compressed wood at both ends of the van where the rounded windows are now need replacing as it is falling apart. Any advise? We would love any suggestions as we are pensioners and this is our first van which we do want to make livable for future trips. Any advise on how to take the hazy look of the Perspex corner windows? I know I have asked a lot of questions, but live by the idea that if I don't ask questions I don't learn! Thank you for your advise in advance!
