Hi Guys,
I bought this great little 14f Franklin Snipe Poptop caravan a year ago and have just started giving it a bit of a make over. I was told the caravan was from the 80's but after reading through some of the posts on here I think it is a 76 or 77 model. It has a RVMAA badge of the front with the number 001398 on it and the chassis number is X-8410. Can anyone help me pinpoint what year my van is?
Thanks Mick

Hi Mick, Does your Snipe have hard pop top sides or canvas? If hard sided it could be 1979,if soft sided will be earlier going by the stripe colours. Snipes were discontinued in 1979, except for the 15ft front kitchen and front dinette models(yours I see is front bunks and rear double bed) The 80 and 81 models had sliding Windows also. There were some later Snipes that were a bit bulkier than yours, but not for long as Franklin closed in 1981. Hope this helps Cheers hughdeani
