Late 70's early 80's Viscount, Chassis number will narrow the date down.

Thank you Rattles. The bar's been cut off where I think the chassis number would have been. Would it be anywhere else at all?

Scrawled in random places on the frame of the van from when it was being made, but you wont find them unless you start pulling it apart!
Might show up on the gas compliance label.
If there are any old registration stickers then you may be able to get some details that way
