I am after some cabinet hinges. I need two, would like four. I tried attaching some pictures of the hinges, but got an error message saying that "this forum has exceeded its attachment space limit. Your file could not be uploaded", so my photos probably wont display. They are the hinge displayed here: www.hickoryhardware.com/p139-vbThey are marketed in America as "Belwith P139". I need the vintage bronze finish. They were imported into Australia in the 1990s, and were widely used for caravan furniture hinges. It seems that imports stopped around 2000, and all the manufactures, repairers and caravan parts sales people that I have contacted say they haven't stocked them for many years. I am hoping someone here has a small stock of them. I can get them from the United States if necessary, but with the cost of freight and the time taken to deliver them, I would prefer to get them locally.

If you ever need things that wont ship outside the US there are services you can use. Australia Post operates one where you're given a US address for the seller to ship to, then fill in a few details on their website and pay for the onward postage to Australia shopmate.auspost.com.au/

When the image is already hosted somewhere else on the internet you can just link to its URL, rather than uploading it here. If you use google you can also do an image search and find other websites that have the same image, sometimes this will turn up other suppliers of the same thing. Unfortunately in this case it only turns up other sellers in the US. They aren't cheap, are they? Google search by imageTim

Hi folks Thanks for your replies.
Lawrence, Caravansplus don't carry this hinge, and they are not on the page that you link to. I tried several other caravans parts dealers, and none had them. I tried a number of caravan repairers throughout Australia, same result. One repairer said that the hinges were a poor design, often broke, so manufacturers switched to other products when stocks ran out, which seems to be about ten years ago.
Sean, that's a great tip about Auspost and the US mailing address. You learn something new every day! I did find a supplier willing to ship to Australia though.
Tim, thanks for the advice re linking image URLs. I did a google image search, and bought some on ebay in the US yesterday. Price delivered to Australia for 10 pairs is AUS$52.00, which I thought was reasonable, except I don't really need 10 pairs (unless the repairer was right and they break, I might need them all).
Gitano, I have got bad OCD. If I used any of those hinges, they would probably work fine and no-one would know that that modification in my van was not original. Except me. My wife says I am fussy (and pedantic). This is why I want those particular hinges.
Thank you all for your help. Dave
