Hello All.
I am looking at transporting my caravan on the back of a tilt tray. I am curious how it is done. For example is the drawbar to the front pointing in towards the cabin of the tilt tray truck? if so how is it loaded onto the flat bed? is there a pulling mechanism to pull it up? How does the caravan not tip over backwards if it is not hitched to a car and it goes on the incline/ up the incline of the tilt tray truck?
Can i reverse the caravan onto the back tray of the tilt tray then unhitch it, so the draw bar is facing the rear?
I am in NEW SOUTH WALES!
Looking forward to hearing form anyone who has done this or any tow truck drivers.
Thanks in advance.

Gidday peterhsv
Tilt tray operators use their winch to pull caravans onto the tray of their truck and the tilt the truck to unload it. As for tipping up usually they do not, unless of coarse all the stuff inside is down the back.
Good luck with your move
