Hi, another newbie hear, I just got an old Franklin Arrow to tidy up and use with the kids. It has lots of problems but I'm looking forward to the challenges, its pretty much complete just missing the table, it has the two bunks at the front and the double at the rear, it looks like it has had a curtain rail at some point to seperate the rear double. The fridge is still there, haven't tried it yet and the original gas oven/stove is there. The biggest problem at the moment is the windows, it's completly missing the one at the head of the double bed and one of the others on the door side is cracked, does anybody know where I could source them, also the shade is missing that covers the windows at the front of the van, any help would be greatly appreciated, looking forward to the reno.

Hi Graham & Welcome The missing table may/may not be a "problem". Ours was missing so we "temporarily" put a camping table inside when needed for the first trip, other times it sits outside along the wall. Without the table inside it is much more roomy. I don't think we'll ever replace the bolt down table. Most of the arrows I've seen had a concertina type door to provide privacy for the double bed, should be easy to source a non original and cut to size. Otherwise stick with the curtains. The missing window, is it missing the window frame or just the glass? Any glazier should be able to replace the glass (including cracked one) for a reasonable price. From memory I think I paid about $30 for glass and I fitted it. I'll take a punt and say that cracked glass won't be the biggest window problem you have. Good luck with the front shade, I've not seen many available, but they do appear online. Looking forward to seeing your progress. Planner

Thanks Planner, the window frame is gone except for the piece that slides into the fixed frame, hopefully someone out has one and yes you're right there is plenty of rott around some of the windows along with some dents in the cladding and trouble around the skylight, are replacement skylights available or do people do away with them.

Might help if you measure the window that needs replacing and put out a call out here on the forum?
Cheers Bob

Graham 67. I found a post on here for franklin parts with a phone number. I ended up starting to dial the number in my phone and it brought up a business acquaintances name. Gave him a call and he had just dismantled a franklin. I'll get in touch again and see if he still has parts. It was a good couple of months ago he had windows and visor etc, but he could possibly have done a tip run. I'll make contact and let you know. By the way, where are you located as parts are in Melb, Yarra Valley if he still has them?

Graham When next coming into "town" check out Carac at Dandenong, no use to you for secondhand parts, but worth looking through the new stuff. I got no connection to them other than being a satisfied customer a couple of times. Planner

Sounds like it is similar in layout to my van. Any pics of both the outside and inside we can have a look at?
