hi everyone
i have just brought my first caravan. it is a 1984 coleman pop up camper trailer. My lift system has been modified to us waffletree to lift roof where would i start looking to change back to crank system and can you get parts in australia or is there a caravan place in sydney i can talk to

Do you know if your van is a Viscount Coleman or a fully imported Coleman?
If you can put up a pic I will be able to tell you and decide where you can get parts.

We have just purchased a Coleman 1983 poptop but found it registered as a viscount, how are the 2 campers associated, I have done a little research on each company but can't find any mention of the two doing business - any info greatly appreciated - thx Sam

Hi Sam,
Viscount made a few Australian versions of the small Coleman camper,it used the American stainless steel windup system,and the rest were Australian parts.
They were a bit lower and lighter than the Aussie Viscount campers and did well.
There were also Coleman campers bought out by Holiday Equipment a few years earlier,these were called Coleman Valley Forge.
Not many of these were assembled here.
