Info needed on this caravan

Friends of ours have a property they recently purchased. It came with a caravan, looks like an 18ft Viscount, dual axel.  The story is that the van was there before 1973 or so but after 1968.  I told them ill ask you gurus about it and get some info for them.

As for condition, poor thing is very water damaged. Some walls are so bad the laminex has come off and the panel split. Mould is common there also, but other areas are almost like new.  Chasis has typical surface rust but drawbar would need replacement and so do the springs/axels/brakes etc.  Overall it would be HUGE project and unfortunately unless someone wants a project it would be a write off.

Can someone tell me year, make, model and anything else about it?

Yes it's a Viscount, and from around the 1971 period when they started the new chassis numbering system back at 1 and put the "A" letter at the end of the numbers. The van will be the 'Duralvan' model and would have had the lightning stripe painted design on the sides of the van. It looks like the van has been repainted on the sides, or the coloured lightning stripes have faded to almost nothing.

you can almost make out the faded stripes, especially under the number 23.

Thx for then info, you guys are truly van geeks Its certainly a nice van inside but can tell it would be a handful to tow compared to my 16ft.
