Hi,
I know this is a long shot but I would like to buy some slide on legs/jacks. They need to be long stroke but not heavy duty.
Any tips on where to get some at a reasonable price would be most appreciated.
$1200 isn't a reasonable price BTW...
I've been looking at making some but it's such a blessed bother.
Obviously these are for my linda star.

The trouble is bottle jacks, scissor jacks etc all stroke about 12". I need at least 2'. I can make my own but it's a blessed nuisance. Mass produced these thngs should cost about $100 or so each, but the commercial manufacturers are charging $300.
Thank you very much for your reply.

Damain
What will the stand/s be used for ? just for lifting the camper on and off the ute ? This will not be any good if you want to use them while away camping but have you seen how councils put water tanks on and off there trucks using 4 legs that pivot, they slide into the corners of the frame on the tank(empty) and the legs are approx 10-15% longer then the height of the truck. They attach the tank via a chain at the front to the truck and when they move forward the legs dig in and pivot and lift the tank, on the legs is a stopper bar that then jams as the legs move pass 180 deg, it works very well.

Thank you for the replies.
I want to keep control of the camper during lifting and lowering. The pivot system either needs to be fairly heavy and complex or it can get out of control. It'spossible I could design something along those line, maybe I'll think about it a bit more, but I think there's a reason all teh commercial systems are based on screws.
It needs to go high because I don't have a styleside. My trayback is 6" higher than normal because it has under tray storage. It's not ideal for the linda but it's a really good back and being steel keeps the back wheels well planted.
Also I'd just like to mention I've been in the wars these last few weeks hence the slow replies. I appreciate your patience.
