Very Very nice bit of information
Thanks Boblor And thanks Ron for posting it
Not impressed with the Tony Pusterla's van Looks a little too vertical with the way the indents run. Just my opinion

Hi Ron Thanks for posting the items for me. I hope it is a little insight into the Olympic background and history for those who own or may become owners of Olympic vans. Don't forget I am always on the look out for another van to add to my register ( now near 300 vans), just get the chassis no. and Pm me or email robertt@cn-newc.com.au or for a chat Mb 0428 850 666. Hey Everyone Well after much searching my sister found these photos of Dad's 21' Olympic Taken in 1973 Cleaned them up best as I could Believe it or not the Toyota was cream and green..... the years have taken there toll on the photos Built to Dad's specs .... as Olympic did regularly Front of the van from door forward was a seperate room for me Back of the van was a room for the parents Would love to see this van again should it still exist Arrrr the memories My first taste of fibreglass heaven Sadly these are the only photos of the van we have Never know it might still be out there in need of a little love and restoration If you come across any 21 footers ... send me a PM I'd be interested in it. Just noticed while studying these photos The outside light is in a strange position not next to the door. Another identifying factor for Dad's van Cheers Atog

Just some additional info from Boblor posted on another thread.
Info was regarding a specific van but is useful in dating Olympics via the windows.
Hi Atog Chassis no. 1459 has both style windows fitted eg. sides single paine rubber seal, front and rear are the split type and the van was delivered from the factory like this.
So I assume this is about the transition period. This van was delivered on 20/4/'68.
The wind-out were not available until early 1972, and the single wind-outs were fitted from late Nov. 1982.
I am not aware of rubber inleu of caulking on Olympics, but I could stand to be corrected.
I hope this info is of help to you and others, and thanks for your continual interest in the Ollys.
Cheers boblor

G'day Atog and Jim, I don't know the full story on this so I'm not sure if it is for sale. If it is I'm sure boblor will give you the contact details. I'd like to see a few pics of inside the van as I'm guessing it probably has a moulded bathroom at the back of the van I'll leave it up to the Guru ;D to fill in the blank spaces. Cheers Bob and Jacqui

Hi All This van is totally plywood lined, eg 20x20 timber fixed to the inside of the fibreglass skin and plywood attached to the timber pieces. This unit has a raised roof, was also available with flat roof, (see 'unidentified fibreglass van on VV site) The van shown above is guttered ready for restoration, AC has been fitted. This van has also been fitted with independant suspension, (possibly after market). I agree with Neil Chesney's comments on VV site that only a couple of these vans were produced at the time, although they were promoted on price list from 1977 to 1987. They were listed as fibreglass shell fitted out to the owners requirements in timber. A 22' unit price in 1987 was $16333.00 and if raised roof was required an extra $946.00. We only have two of this style 'Travel Trailer' on our Olympic register, and only four of the plainer design 'Travel Trailer' type. These type of 'Travel Trailer' were made up of fibreglass components eg walls, roof, and end caps and all 8' wide, with chassis, walls and roof made to suit order, -- end caps were comon to all sizes. Thanks to Bob and Jacqui for posting the photos. Cheers boblor

Howdy Boblor, As I have said earlier, I would love to get my hands on that Olympic, Do you know if it's on the market ? If so, who owns it ? and where can I look at it ? Don't mind paying a fare price for something as beaut as that. Cheers kiwijim
