Hello all, Introductions first ... we are Fiona & Andrew Wilkinson. We recently acquired our first caravan, a cute little 16' Viscount Ambassador. I've been reading through the forum to try and confirm the date of manufacture but the number on our draw bar has me stumped. As per the attached photo I can only see 987C. It looks like there is supposed to be another numeral in front of the 9 but I can't make out what it is supposed to be. It was advertised as a 1975 model. Can anyone shed any light on if it is indeed a 1975 or not?
We have plans to remodel this little cutie. For now our first trip is planned for Easter. Before then we need to replace the draw bar, scrub out loads of dirt, frame up the double bed to fit a queen mattress. After that it's decision time ... do we move things around inside or just paint and decorate. Time will tell.
