Hi all I'm currently re building I'm guessing it's mid 70's millard pop top wondering what timber to use for the frame of the pop top roof as it is rotted not sure what to use I'm guessing it has to be light weight any help at all would be appriciated cheers

G'day camquigs, and welcome to the forum! The most commonly used timber in caravan frames these days is meranti. You can get it from Bunnings, but the straightness of their stock can sometimes leave a bit to be desired. Search out your nearest supplier, and then go and sort through their stock and pick out the nice straight bits. Your chassis number will most likely be from 1976 since it's pretty close to the start of the Millard poptops. cheers, Al.

Cheers for that I'll go down tommorow and have a look , wondered what year it was only has 1900 Millard on rego sticker strange they never put a year on them anyway thansk for Ya help cheers ,matt
