We have purchased a small van . When we put up the annex it has mould on the roof of it . But nowhere else . What is a safe way to remove mould without damaging the water proofing . Thanks

Hi and welcome shaz38, hopefully someone with experience can put up their tow cents and advice, i found this link www.exploroz.com/Forum/Topic/101590/How_to_remove_LOTS_of_mould_stains_from_canvas.aspx Even near modern materials, used for sails, like dacron any mould or rust is evil and long lasting, from my experience. During the late 80s & beyond the modern mylar type materials help by being non pourous HOWEVER this is usually at the expense of weather proofing particularly wind will de laminate that style of cover. I used to inherit daggy looking canvas tents from a bus charter company when they became too embarressing to use, my fave moment was at a Campsite in Nossa where the caretaker gave me a tent to raise for the 2 weeks stay i had already paid for, as they thought mine looked terrible haha!(1979)

Mould and canvass not friends. I would try calling Tebbs Canvas in dandenong, Victoria for a bit of advice.
They have been in the canvass game a long time.
