G`Day there are some threads here about getting them made, mostly Viscount ones etc. See link -> ditzygypsy.proboards.com/thread/2204 I am actually after 2 gold shield Arrow stickers, at this stage i will most likely repaint the w on one as the rest is aBOUT 80% good and paint up a similar version on the rear where just a shadow remains... unless someone is getting some or already has them made.

Holy thread resurrection Batman! Ok, need a favour here and we all might end up winners. Now I'm getting close to painting the van, I thought getting some new 'Arrow' stickers made up may be the way to go. I've found a company that should be able to do a small production run of what I need, but it is the artwork I am missing. The sticker on mine is almost unreadable so if you have an Arrow that still has the decals legible, can you please take a high res photo or 2 of them and email them to me please? My email address is bacicat2000@gmail.com. In return, I'll get a run of these done and on sell them to other Arrow owners for cost price. This is is the sticker I'm talking about - mine is pretty cactus. I think it was on a metalised gold background? Thanks heaps - Gav.

www.rvstickers.com.au have 3 different style Franklin stickers - 2 are sticker replacements for the metal badges.

Does anyone else have a sticker that is worth taking a pic of? Does anyone know what colours they were originally? Can't even find a pic on line of what it should look like.

I wish i still had my old signwriting chisel brush, the gold needs replacing & a smiggen of black , on the door side one. Mine also has one under the rear window above the number plate holder, totally faded so i have had a few goes but lookd dodgey as small round brush will not lay down smooth gold paint.

Any chance of a picture so I at least know what colours I'm looking at? I can have the artwork redone - Daughter is arty farty and her boyfriend is an IT geek so I'm sure between them they could come up with something...

Got your pic Sean - thanks for that - it's the best one I've seen so far!. It confirms that the writing is gold, so a printing on a metalised gold film sticker will be the go - and is an option from the company I'm looking at. If anyone can add to the puzzle regarding colours, I can get things rolling. so, c'mon - what is the background colour and the outside border colour?!!?

Here's the pic Sean sent me - confirms my theory from Gitano's pic that the writing is gold. oops - hang 5 while I see where the pic went... Well, for some reason Photobucket won't upload the pic Sean sent me. Stay tuned, I'll figure it out... *throws computer accross the room*

Love it that you still managed to find a way to post even after forgetting your password. What's you cats name and you youngests age at their last birthday - that's your password... I still have a few computers left - there's about 3 laptops kicking about, plus 2 iPads - one of which I'm using now, but I haven't tried phot f**k it on here yet...

I have painted over mine so not original colours & the rear one was a grime raised shape of where it once was stuck! The standard white knight gold is a good match for the text and the background was a brass look ( more yellow less red/ brown) there was a mottled grain look to most of the back ground & a thin flatplain brass coloured boarder following the sticker shape. Pic when i can due to heavy rain & minimal sun atm. So same colour for background just different lay down on the sticker, maybe a sticky block & tack release gave that effect to separate boarder to background. ( did not touch edge boarder area... just internal areas to give mottle)

Thanks heaps for the detail. So, gold writing gold border slightly brassier coloured textured looking background. I can work with that for the time being and see what I can sort out. I'll get started on the artwork and we can change colours once I get version 1 done - I'll report back here once I have it - don't hold your breath, I've got a lot on my plate at the moment, so it may take a few weeks.

Ok, colour aside, is this anything like the texture of the background? First job will be to search databases for the correct colours and pattens. If anyone finds somethihng they thing is similar, please post it up, or a link would be even better.

Here's something interesting accross on the Vintage van forum - vintagecaravans.proboards.com/thread/2185/franklin-1970About half way down are a few pics, one of which is a 'premier' sticker that looks quite close in style to the 'arrow' sticker. Thoughts? I might scoot accross there and sign up to see if our counterparts can help us out at all.

Perhaps this BG was closer to the one in my van ( The cracking effect not any of the color shades. That looks similar to what i had, may also explain why most have dissolved in the weather over time.
