Nissan Bargain

G'Day All,

I just had to show off the latest addition to the family.....

I recently purchased a 89 Nissan Patrol for the bargain price of
$ 4000, ;D

the owner who was an over-seas tourist returned to the states leaving the Nissan with our Company to be sold on his behalf way back in July,
the asking price for it at that time was $6500.00 minimum, as they had payed $ 7950 for it only two months earlier and had also spent the best part of an extra $1000 on new heavy duty Duel batteries, two new tires and side running boards.

The Nissan sat in our yard with no interested buyers since they left, so I contacted them with a crazy offer of $3500 to which they had a Heart-attack and said they would not let it go under $4.000.........."SOLD" was my reply, quick-smart, ;D ;D ;D

The Nissan is in very good condition and everything works ,including the Air-con, and Diff lock, power steering and the Duel Batteries have change-over switch's and are brand new heavy duty, the motor is a 4.2 Diesel and is very quiet.

the interior is as neat as a new pin with the drivers seat having only recently been re-upholstered, it is a 8 seater but the rear seat ( which I also got) has been removed to allow room for storage box's.

Now why would I want to down grade
when I have something that can climb a hill standing on it's back and carry enough blocks of beer to keep one occupied at Swanny
for at least a week

Don't worry Mate, when the Mopar becomes bogged you can always think,.........
now who do I know with a 4x4 that,........ for a block of good oil MAY pull me out ;D ;D ;D

"Yep" you could say that I am pretty happy with the Nissan,

thought the metallic paint could do with a bit of a wash and shine yesterday, so took it through one of those wash stations behind the local garage........came out looking great, but.......

things are so dry here in the West, (twentieth day over thirty degrees) by the time we got back home the Nissan was covered in dust again.

My next problem is that....."THE ONE WHO RULES" has decreed that = some of the other cars lying around have to go..........

can't understand what she is complaining about,
there are only 2 EA falcons and 2 Mitz utes plus a trailer and the Thomson Classic on the block..............

"hell" none of them are parked on her garden.....which runs right around the property.

May I say. ;D ;D ;D............. well done on the Nissan........... ;D.

As for the car clean out............. what is the problem. Jeepers .

At my place.......... not always at the same time we can have up to 3 caravans and 5 or 6 cars.............. ( the people next door just sold their house, I wonder why )


And to add to the group my daughter just got her licence so another parking space is needed.

I am going to rip up the lawn and gardens and just lay cement and paint white lines on it..........

and the wonder why I am called Ditzy

Ditzy I like the way you think .....our place look's like a country Pub car park when all the kids are home.I have an acre that I'd would turn into a concret tarmac with a 6 bay shed but the bride like's the greenery,
and to think we have the National Park on the other side of the back fence.
Oh well wonder what the poor people are up to
