G'day Peter, when you say "disk", do you mean a CD or DVD disk, or do you mean one of those thumbdrives that plug into a USB connection in your computer?

Well, you have to "burn" the picture files onto the CD/DVD disk. You'll have software on your computer that drives the CD/DVD player in your computer. Open up that software, and you'll be given options of whether you want to 'Play' the disk, or whether you want to copy files to the disk. Click on 'copy files' and then you select all the pictures you want to burn to the disk. If you use a CD, you'll have to do it on two discs, because a CD only takes a max of 750mb of space. A DVD disk will do all your 1.3GB in one go.
Far easier to buy a USB thumbdrive with at least 2GB capacity, and just copy the files onto that. It's just a straight 'drag and drop' process, once you plug the usb stick into your computer. You can buy 4GB thumbdrives for a few dollars these days (that's if they still make them. Probably 8GB is the smallest capacity they sell these days).
cheers, Al.

a fellow from Harvey Norman told me today, that I should use nothing larger than a 500mg stick, as most van tv's can't read anything bigger - if you plan on using the tv to look at the pics.
He also told me that if I was storing music that I needed a TV that had mp4 file compatability.

This would be a good thread to chat about TV's and stuff, we just bought a 19" LED for our van and it has a pvr function but the instructions (stop laughing - yes I read them!) stated not to use a USB stick bigger then 32Gb, we tested it out when at Bribie Island and it worked well.
