Hello people, I know it's not a classic but does anyone here have experience with the late-80's Viscount Nipper mini van ? Look nice & light with reasonable interior, but not sure about how strong they are or if there are any inherent problem areas / leak-zones etc. Any pros or cons with rear-opening door configuration ? thanks for any info or comments. Cheers - Steve.

G'day Steve, When I do a Google search for Viscount Nipper, there's a few threads on the other caravan forums talking about them - exploroz and caravanersforum. Might be some useful info in amongst those threads for you to read. cheers, Al.

Thanks Al, yep have googled and read a bit of that stuff on other forums...just wondered if anyone here had any personal experience or stories. Very interested especially about whether the chassis / drawbar is very strong ( looks a little frail from some pics I've seen ) and read a story mentioning some leaks up front. Anyway, will keep my ear to the ground. Cheers - Steve.

Howdy, I own a nipper and its my first caravan, I've taken it all over WA on good roads and bad. Never had any real problem, a little bit of dust comes in the back door vent so I put a piece of cardboard between the two doors on dirt roads. Driving in heavy rain has driven some water in the front window, make sure the drainage slots are clear. Seems to be a sturdy little thing but it is little, tows beautifully an I can do a u turn on a suburban street. A tad squeezy for two but we love it.
