Hi everyone
I'm a caravan newbie, so I have a lot to learn. We're currently looking for our first van and have realised that due to the height restriction of our garage door, we're going to need to find some off-site storage. I've spoken to Beaufort Caravan park and they're full and I don't know of anywhere else local to Ballarat, can anyone point me in the right direction (as I'd like to buy one as soon as possible)?
Thanks, Jonathan

Why not google 'Ballarat caravan storage' and see what you come up with? Also ask at caravan dealers - they might know where the cheap options are.
cheers, Al.

Or go and knock on a few farmers doors and see if they are interested in a few extra dollars! Cheers Hughdeani

Do you have any relative on acreage? They'll probably already have half the families caravans lined up out in the driest paddock ( I often have my parents and my brothers caravan here). If you need undercover parking, you may struggle... But gee's surely you can find a yard somewhere to stick keep it in around Ballarat.... the place is surrounded by "empty paddocks" I've noticed a few of the "hire a shed/storage" type places in Ballarat often have a line of caravans out beside the storage areas (up at Wiltshire lane etc). All you need is a bit of well drained gravel to park it on. seeya, shane L.

Hi all, Solved the storage issue, found a place in Creswick which is 17 km away. Great thing is that every time I pop down to the 'van it feels like a holiday :-)

Excellent, some great free camping areas out there too (not that I've stayed at them myself ).
